Q:
|
How
much time must I plan to allow from receipt of order at
CPD to the airline for counter-to-counter AOG airline
shipment? |
| |
A:
|
A
minimum of two hours should be planned. Though at times
we are successful with less time, there are many obstacles
to overcome, such as transportation time within Wichita,
airline security, etc. |

Q:
|
What
is Cessna doing to improve airplane reliability? |
| |
A: |
Cessna
is implementing MSG-3 for building Maintenance Plans.
For the last 30 years, the airlines used this process
to design their Maintenance Plans with the Manufacturer.
Cessna is working with the NBAA and other Manufacturers
helping this process become the standard in the Corporate
Aircraft Industry. By having a standard method of analysis,
we can develop the most economical program while maintaining
the highest levels of safety. In addition, by using the
group approach for the development, with customers and
regulatory agencies involvement, everyone has a much better
understanding of the inspection program requirements.
With this process, reliability improvements are identified
before an airplane reaches the field. |

Q:
|
Do
I have to follow manufacturer published Maintenance Plans
for my aircraft? |
| |
A:
|
No,
you may build your own inspection program. No additional
approval is required as long as you comply with all inspections
contained within the published intervals in the Maintenance
Manual. If you decide to use increased intervals or include
any other changes, you must obtain an FAA approved A.A.I.P.
We recommend that you subscribe to CESCOM 2001 in order
to create your unique sign off sheets. This is especially
beneficial if you are planning to take the aircraft to
a Citation Service Center for maintenance. |
